"I wrote Spogg after one of my young students called James drew a funny little sketch of two dinosaurs. It gave me the inspiration to develop the idea further. I asked some of my other students if they could do some dinosaur designs as well. The children came up with some really excellent sketches of various dinosaur characters and I simply tidied them up and painted them and put them in the story. Using others' ideas makes for an interesting storyline and allows me to branch outside of my own thinking and creating. Children have such lively imaginations and it’s truly fun to develop some of their creativity." - Graham
Spogg is a little dinosaur who wanted to find a friend. Along his travels he found many other dinosaurs who were happy to be his friend, but some of them were not good friends and played tricks on others or treated him badly. Would gentle Spogg find a companion just like him? Read the story and find out
"Conversations with Kammie" is a reproduction of the real-life adventures enjoyed by cocker spaniel, Kammie and "her human". Graham worked with writer Annie Ingram to bring their joys and mishaps to life on the page with his bespoke illustrations. The book was published and sold at a local shop
This is what Annie had to say on the collaborative process: "Graham is not just an incredibly talented artist - he is able to take a thought and turn it into a picture. We had so much fun with discussing the concepts and I could not be happier with the gem of a book he helped me produce! He is a kind, funny & reliable partner to work with."
Kammie, the cocker spaniel, is an incredibly bright little dog. She has three passions in life: balls, of any shape, size or texture; investigating the countryside around her home town, Kintore; and training her human, Annie, to be a well-behaved companion. It is hoped that the tips included in "Conversations with Kammie" will be helpful for dogs far and wide as they train their humans.
